From time to time, as part of our troubleshooting procedure, we may need access to your server to investigate and resolve an issue for you. We do not want to use your details and so in QuickBox, we have now got special support staff details that can be enabled for 24 hours to allow us to investigate issues. Use the instructions to enable QBSupport.

Via Terminal

  1. SSH into your server
  2. Run the following command
sudo su -

3. Then run the following command

Version 1.2.3 and below

quickSupport enable

Version 1.3.0 and above

qb support enable

Then provide the details that are posted to the Support agent. For example;

Via Dashboard

  1. Click on Help / Support
  2. Click on Troubleshooting

3. Find the section that says “QUICKBOX SUPPORT” and where you see “QuickBox Support User” click on the Disable button

4. Then click on Details to provide them to the support agent

Alternatively, you can do the following;

  1. Log into your Dashboard
  2. Click on Web Console

4. Type in your QuickBox Password and press Enter Note; your password will not appear when typing this in. This is expected behaviour and a security precaution.

sudo su -

6. Then type in;

Version 1.2.3 and below
