With the recent update to the QuickBox.IO website we are introducing a new measure that will allow additional security and anonymity for our members. We know that a publicly open forum is a great thing… however; the one caveat to such a forum is anyone’s ability to view entire threads and comments without needing an account first. Granted, there is nothing wrong with this. However, we do feel that QuickBox does have it’s sensitive topics and issues.
Everything revolving around QuickBox development is maintained at the highest level in regards to personal safety. We feel this introduction is a must and will work on implementing these measures over the next couple of days.
What’s to be expected of this transition?
Other than the forums now requiring members to login, we will introduce Single-Sign-On from our website to our forums. But what does that mean? Simple, register your account here if you haven’t already done so… even if you have an account on the forums already. Please register your accounts at QuickBox.IO with the same email/username/passwords that you currently use to login via the Plaza. This small step will ensure that once we do introduce the Single-sign-On API, you will have zero issues logging in from the site. Additionally, this will allow users to change their password for both the site and forum in one single dashboard here at QuickBox.IO.
We will post more updates on this matter as it unfolds. If you have any questions or concerns, leave that comment and we’ll discuss 🙂
