  4. Activating your QuickBox Pro API Key

After you finish the install and login, an important order of business is getting your API Key activated. Activating your key will unlock various features on your Dashboard, as well as enable many QuickBox system commands. Be sure to have your API Key handy. You can find your key located in your completed order email sent to you after successful purchase.

You can find your API keys within your account dashboard here at QuickBox.IO. You can access them via the link in your menu API Key(s)

From here you can see your API Keys assigned to your account. If these keys are activated, it will give you the activated IP address as well as the ability to deactivate the keys with ease from your QuickBox.IO account. These measures are handy if needing to migrate your API Key to a new server.


Activating from GUI

You will now need to navigate to the General Settings Page on your dashboard.

Once you are on the General Settings Page, you will notice the API Control module.

Enter in the API Key from purchase.

Once API Key have been entered, then hit the Activate button.

Activation is instant if the proper info is entered.


Activating from CLI

Login to your server via ssh and type sudo su - to properly elevate to root.

Once you have done that, type qb api. From here you can both deactivate and reactivate your API key on your server. This method additionally bypasses our API caching servers to gain instant activation if upgrading and/or adding a new key.
